Tyler Blackburn, Benson's ex-star on Pretty Little Liars, said in the year 2019, that they briefly dated but that they were now "good acquaintances". 18 years ago, Benson was involved in a highly-publicized affair with Cara Delevingne, an English model. They were together between 2018 and 2020. They remained "good friends".

Kotero was the female lead performer for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984.
