Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an extremely popular American performer and actress. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is an RN and Tom Bell, a television news director. She is from Polish heritage (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's passion for acting was discovered at a very young age. Her audition was in 1992, and was then offered the role of Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent before she was 13 and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. She also started taking acting lessons in private at this time. Bell played a brief, uncredited performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz production at her highschool won Bell the role of the lead Dorothy character. Bell later moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell dropped out of school in 2001 and began playing the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credit in Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. The scene however, was trimmed and now her only appearance is in the credits at the end. Bell was seen alongside Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
