LeBron Raymone James Sr., born December 30, 1984 is an American professional basketball player, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). He is known as King James and is considered to be among the most successful basketball players in history. James is the winner of four NBA Championships, four NBA MVP Awards as well as the four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He has also won two Olympic Gold medals. James has scored the most points during playoffs and has with the second-highest number of points in his career and is seventh in assists in his career. In addition to being an NBA All-Star, James was selected to his NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. He has competed in ten NBA Finals the third most all time including eight consecutively between the years of 2011 and 2018. James made the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, James became one of the few NBA player to earn 10,000 points in his career. James played basketball with St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media for his potential as an NBA star. As a prep-to-pro player, he was picked to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of 2003's NBA draft. Following his selection as 2004's NBA Rookie Of The Year, he rapidly established himself as a premier player in the NBA winning the NBA's MVP Award both in 2009 and 2010 James, who was unable to take home the title at Cleveland in 2010 was released as a free agent and joined the Miami Heat. This was disclosed in The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions made by a sports free-agent in the history of sports.
